Pistons Make Iverson Their 6th ManFinally, Detroit has seen the light and realized that they are a much better team with Richard Hamilton in their starting 5. It took an Allen Iverson injury for Detroit to see the light. The Pistons are 2-0 without A.I. Before the Iverson injury, the Pistons had lost 8 games in a row. This is not to say the Pistons are a better team without Allen Iverson, it simply means Hamilton is a better fit in the starting lineup. A.I. provides instant offense and that is ideal for a 6th! man off the bench. Detroit knocked off the Boston Celtics on the road last night. Detroit is once again a factor in the East.
Kings waive Drew Gooden and Thunder Waive Joe Smith

The Kings made a flurry of moves at the trade deadline, mostly to clear up cap space. Drew Gooden was one of the better players they acquired, but the team has no interest in his services. Gooden was waived and is eligible to play in the playoffs for another team. San Antonio and Dallas are said to be the favor! ites to land the PF. Gooden played one game with Sacramento sc! oring 12 points and pulling down 13 rebounds.
Joe Smith another savvy veteran was released by the Oklahoma City Thunder. This has been a move on the radar for a while, but it came just before the deadline for eligibility in the playoffs. The Cavaliers are said to be the likely destination for Smith. Smith has already played in Cleveland, in fact he is a former #1 overall pick by the team.
